Our story

Grounded Flooring is a bespoke flooring company serving Bristol and Bath's finest homes. Founded by master carpenter Sam Day and Joe Williams, Grounded Flooring brings together hands-on craftsmanship and a genuinely consultative approach. We design each floor around your home, your light and your space.

We work with a full range of flooring options — from wood to LVT, to sustainable cork and bamboo, to vinyl and carpets. Every project is fitted by our own team to a single, uncompromising standard.

It starts with a free, no-obligation consultation: we visit, measure, listen and advise. From there we plan the design and materials, prepare the subfloor properly, and fit your floor with the care it deserves — leaving you with a result you'll feel underfoot for decades.
